US Department of Justice
Bureau of Justice Statistics -- Survey
of DNA Crime Laboratories -- Reports findings from a survey
of publicly operated forensic crime labs that perform Deoxyribonucleic
Acid (DNA) testing. The survey included questions about each lab's
budget, personnel, workloads, procedures, equipment, and other topics.
Numerical tables present workloads in terms of known subject cases,
unknown subject cases, and convicted offender DNA samples. Data
were obtained from 110 of the 120 estimated known DNA crime labs.
The report compares findings to the baseline data from the initial
survey.
Crime
Lab - The Huntington Beach Police Department Crime Laboratory
(Scientific Investigation Unit) provides technical expertise to
the department in latent fingerprints, CAL-ID, photography, serology,
trace evidence, narcotics and dangerous drugs, toxicology, blood
and urine alcohol analysis, maintenance of breath alcohol instruments,
firearms examinations, arson analysis and crime scene investigation.

College of Forensic Examiners -- Forensic Examiners do not 'win'
or 'lose' cases. Forensic Examiners seek only the truth and conduct
evaluations, examinations and inquires, and report the true results
of their findings in an unbiased and objective manner.

Accounting - The integration of accounting, auditing and investigative
skills yields the specialty known as forensic accounting. "Forensic
Accounting" provides an accounting analysis that is suitable to
the court which will form the basis for discussion, debate and ultimately
dispute resolution.
